Born April 10, 1993 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She attended St. Hugh School, after graduating from it, she entered the Carrollton School in Miami. She began her acting career in 2012 with the series "Austin & Ellie" on the "Disney Channel". In 2014, Sofia played the role of Evie, the daughter of the evil queen in the movie "The Descendants" .
In one of the interviews, the actress told how she got the role in the movie “The Heirs”: “Several months after filming the series“ Austin and Ellie ”I auditioned for the role of Audrey, friend of Prince Ben, in a new secret project of the Disney Channel. After 2 months, I was informed that I had not passed the casting. Later I auditioned for Liv and Maddy, but I didn't get the part either. After my fourth audition, I got a call from Disney Channel and was offered the role of Eevee in The Descendants .

In 2016, the actress played the role of Tessa in The Cinderella Story 4: If a Shoe Fits. In April 2016 Carson released her first single titled "Love Is The Name". In August of the same year, Sofia released the second song "I'm Gonna Love You" .
At the moment, Sofia is taking part in the filming of the 2nd season of the TV series "Heirs", which will be released in 2017.
