Born September 25, 1953, Chester, South Carolina, USA is an American writer and screenwriter.
Ron Rash is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University and Clemson University. In 1994, he published his first book, a collection of short stories. Since then, Ron Rash has published three books of poetry, three short stories, and four novels. He is the recipient of a number of awards, including the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award. His poems and stories have appeared in over 100 magazines. With each new book, Ron Rash confirmed his position as a central and significant writer alongside solid names like Fred Chappell, Lee Smith, and Robert Morgan.
