Born 1959, UK - British film director and producer.
He began his directing career in the 1980s as a director of television programs and documentaries. Later, Cole began making feature films and taking part in the creation of series. The director's most notable works are Calendar Girls, Saving Grace, Made in Dagenham, A Lot Like Love, and also the TV series "Doc Martin" and "Last Tango in Halifax".
Save Grace won the 2000 Audience Award at the Sundance Festival and the Norwegian International Film Festival.
