John Densmore was the drummer for the well-known band The Doors from 1965 to 1973. Since the early 1980s, he has played in the theater, starred in films (including The Doors directed by Oliver Stone) and appeared on various television shows. Densmore is the only living member of The Doors who does not allow the use of the band's songs in commercial advertisements, imposing his veto. He also did not participate in the reincarnation of a group called The Doors of the 21st Century, and even sued former bandmates Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger in an attempt to prevent them from using the group's name.
