Howard Kazanyan graduated from the University of Southern California. While he was studying, he met young George Lucas, and they not only became brothers in the Delta Kappa Alpha film brotherhood, but also best friends.
His first jobs include first assistant director in Alfred Hitchcock's The Family Conspiracy and second assistant director in The Wild Gang, directed by Sam Peckinpah.
