When the boy was 11 years old, his parents divorced after 18 years of marriage. Hayme has an older sister, Carol, and a younger half-brother, Daniel Lee. Haim grew up in Willowdale. He jumped over the fence in his backyard to enter the high school grounds. Mom enrolled the boy in drama courses so that he could overcome his shyness, and by chance, being with Carol at one of her auditions, he also passed it.
