Born March 6, 1973, Chicago, Illinois, USA - American retired professional basketball player, former player of the National Basketball Association.
Played as an attacking defender and light forward. He studied at the University of Winsconsin in Madison from which he was selected 21st in the 1995 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns.
Later, he played for 9 seasons (1996-2005) for the Dallas Mavericks, in which he showed his best results and champions of the 2006/2007 season, the San Antonio Spurs. Finished his career with the Boston Celtics.
In honor of him, Finley (pronounced "Finlay") is an Italian rock band formed in 2002.
