Born April 3, 1959 - American actor and comedian
As a child, Pierce was fond of playing the piano and often played at the private Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs. In high school, he began to study acting, and even received recognition as the best student in dramatic arts. However, his love for music was still strong, so he decided to study classical piano at Yale University. However, Pierce soon grew bored with music history lessons and admitted that he had not given her enough time to become a successful concert pianist. Instead, he graduated from college in 1981 with two majors in English and Performing Arts.
While at university, Pierce directed several student plays. Roles played at Yale included Waiting for Godot, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? et al.
After graduating from university, he moved to New York, where during the 1980s and 1990s he went on a variety of jobs, from selling neckties to working as a security guard, while continuing to pursue his dream of attending Michael Howard Studios. During this period, he played Laertes in the popular off-Broadway production of Hamlet and made his debut in Christopher Durang's Broadway production Behind Therapy .
In 2005, Pierce starred in the production of the comedy musical "Spamalot" based on the famous British film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". In August-September 2006, Pierce played the lead role of Lieutenant Frank Kioffe in the production of "Curtains". In March 2007, "Curtains" was shown on Broadway, and on June 10, 2007, Pierce was awarded a Tony Award .

He has also starred in such films as Little Man Tate (1991), The Wolf (1994), Nixon (1995) and Fuck Love! (2003). In 1993, he played Meg Ryan's brother in Sleepless in Seattle, and in 2001, he played the role of astrophysicist Professor Henry Newman in the comedy Hot American Summer. In 2010, Pierce played the lead role of Warwick Wilson in the black comedy The Perfect Master .
Pierce is known for his distinctive voice, and has often been recruited for voice acting jobs. His notable roles include narrator in The Mating Games of Earthly Dwellers, Slim's stick insect in Flick's Adventures, Dr. Delbert Doppler in Treasure Planet, and the amphibious Abe Sapien in Hellboy. He also voiced the pill Driks in the animated comedy Osmosis Jones.
