Born May 1, 1959, Paris, France - French theater and film actress, playwright and prose writer.
Her father's family of Persian Jews of Russian origin fled to France after the October Revolution; the father himself was born in Moscow and was an engineer and entrepreneur. His mother was Jewish from Budapest, a violinist who left Hungary after the founding of the Hungarian People's Republic.
Entered the faculty of the Paris Conservatory at the age of 18 for the second time, graduated with honors. Author of plays, screenplays and several novels. In 2010, she directed the film Chicas, based on her drama Spanish Play (2004), starring Carmen Maura, Emmanuelle Seigner and Andre Dussolier.
