Born March 28, 1943 - American Character Actress.
In 1974 she first became famous for her role in the play "Sea Horse", which earned her the "Drama Desk" award. In subsequent years, she regularly worked in the theater and also appeared on television.
Ferrell has played over one hundred on-screen roles throughout her career spanning four decades. For the most part, the actress played supporting roles, and played the main role on the big screen only once, in the 1979 film “In the depths of the country”, which won the Berlin Film Festival. She has appeared in such films as "Network", "For how long?", "Mystic Pizza", "Edward Scissorhands", "Heaven and Earth", "Highway", "Erin Brockovich", "Planet Ka-Pax" and "The Reluctant Millionaire." On television, she starred in Los Angeles Law in 1988-1992, for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Drama Series in 1992.
Ferrell is best known for her role as the sarcastic housekeeper Charlie Sheen in the comedy series Two and a Half Men, where she starred from 2003 to 2015. For her role, she was twice nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, in 2005 and 2007.
