Born November 17, 1943 - American actress and supermodel.
She graduated from high school in Tampa, Florida in 1961, and then entered the University of South Florida, but left it and then received a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University.
Lauren Hutton began her modeling career in the sixties with appearances in advertising. Ultimately she rose to prominence in the business and at the height of her success was called the "fresh face of American fashion." In 1974 she signed a record one million contract with Revlon and was the face of the brand until her 40th birthday.
As an actress, Lauren Hutton made her debut in 1968 in The Paper Lion, and over the next ten years she starred in a number of Hollywood films. Hutton is perhaps best known for her role in the 1979 film American Gigolo, in which she co-starred with Richard Gere. In the eighties, she mostly starred in unsuccessful films, which mostly flopped at the box office.
In 1995, Lauren Hutton starred in Darren Star's television series New York, Central Park, and also launched her own talk show. Both projects lasted less than a year. In the 2000s, she briefly returned to acting, appearing in Body Parts in 2007 and in The Jones Family in 2010.
In October 2005, at the age of sixty-one, Lauren Hutton agreed to pose nude for Big magazine, stating afterwards that she did so so that women of age would not be ashamed of their bodies.
