Born August 3, 1974, Goler, Australia is an Australian film director and screenwriter.

The family had two children: Justin himself and his brother Jed. Their childhood was spent in the same city. In the early 1990s, Justin moved with his brother to Sydney and entered the National Institute of Dramatic Arts there to study stage design. At this time, Jed created the music group The Mess Hall and asked his brother to film a video clip for one of their songs, which he did. After that, Justin decided to continue directing, which became his main profession.

At first, Justin Kurzel made commercials. In 2005, he made his directing debut with the short film Blue Tongue. The debut in a feature film took place in 2011: Justin Kurzel directed the crime drama Snow City.
