Honored Artist of Ukraine (1995). People's Artist of Ukraine (1999). Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine named after Alexander Dovzhenko (2014).
In 1977, Vladimir Petrovich graduated from the class of B. Lyatoshinsky and A. Shtogarenko at the Kiev Conservatory. P. Tchaikovsky. After graduation, he worked as a music editor at the Ukrkinokhronika film studio.
