Born July 7, 1953, San Francisco, California is an American actress, producer, and screenwriter.
She began her career as a child in children's theater. She made her screen debut in the 1973 film Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and in 1975 she played a small role in the comedy Funny Lady with Barbra Streisand. In 1978, she played the role of Bruce Lee's girlfriend in The Game of Death, and for most of the seventies she exploited the character of the Beauty Queen in various comedy films. In the 1979 film Apocalypse Now directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Colleen Camp played the role of Playmate, and in October of that year she actually posed for Playboy. She soon landed the role of Christine Shepard in the hit television series Dallas, but only played it in two episodes before being taken over by Mary Crosby.
One of Colleen Camp's most successful roles was country singer Christie Miller in Peter Bogdanovich's 1981 comedy They All Laughed. In 1983, she starred as the female lead in the disastrous Smokey and the Bandit 3, and then appeared in the comedies Police Academy 2: Their First Mission and Police Academy 4: Civil Patrol.
