She grew up in a family of doctors - a neurologist and a pediatrician. After graduating from high school, she attended McGill University for one year, where she studied English literature.
She began her career as an actress at the age of 10. Her first significant role was in the film "Elektra", where she herself performed most of the stunts thanks to her taekwondo skills.
