Born 5 November 1968, Rome - Italian-Spanish actress.
First film role in the Spanish film "The Last Romance" (1986). In 1998-2000. was President of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematograficas de Espana). In 1999, she starred in the Franco-Spanish film Volaverunt directed by Bigas Luna as Duchess Alba for which she won the Silver Shell Best Actress at the San Sebastian Film Festival. In 2000 she was a jury member of the 53rd Cannes Film Festival. In 1998-2002, she headed the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
In September 2002, Aytana married the Argentine sculptor and painter Papin Luccadane. She has two children.
