Born in 1963, Hong Kong is a Hong Kong based animation artist, director and actor.
Hui himself says that he has loved drawing since he can remember.
In 1984, he graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
After graduation, he started working as an animator at Quantum Studios in Hong Kong. In 1989 he moved to Canada and for some time created animation for television commercials in Toronto. In the same year, he starts working as an animator at Pacific Data Images, which was later acquired by DreamWorks Animation.
Co-director of such cartoons as Shrek the Third and Shrek: Horror stories. Director of such short films as Puss in Boots: The Three Devils and Secrets of the Furious Five.
