Born August 25, 1949 - American actor.
At the age of 14 he played for the first time in the theater. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for two years. In 1973 he moved to California.
His best known roles are in The Deer Hunter (1978) by Michael Cimino, The Onion Field (1979) by Harold Becker, Hair (1979) by Milos Forman, Salvador (1986) by Oliver Stone.
In 1988 he left for South Africa, where he participated in the anti-apartheid movement. In 1994 he returned to the United States, continuing to act in films.
Acted in Spike Lee's Do It Right! (1989) and Sam's Bloody Summer (1999), was an assistant director on the set of Malcolm X (1992).
