Born April 8, 1968, Chicago, Illinois, USA is an American actress and director.
The textured appearance and type of face, bright blue eyes and a soft southern accent (the family moved to Virginia after her birth) attracted the attention of the 17-year-old girl of TV producers and filmmakers, as well as boyfriends-actors.
Started her film career in 1987 in the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Sleep Warriors and a comedy directed by Dimitri Logofetis. Fame came to her four years after the film debut and the release of a series of bright roles in the films: "The Running Indian."
One of the most recent works, The Nation of Fast Food (2006), has been disappointing critics. A new turn in her creative career was brought by the participation of Patricia in the filming of the fantastic TV series "Medium" (2005-2011), where she is involved in the role of Alison Dubois, a psychic medium with the gift of seeing the dead and hearing their voices. For this film, she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress in a Series, and in 2005 she won an Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
