Born February 16, 1982 - rap artist, performing and releasing albums under the pseudonym Lupe Fiasco. At the 50th Grammy Awards he won the Best Urban / Alternative Performance for the song "Daydreamin '", performed with Jill Scott. He became famous in 2006 with his critically acclaimed debut album Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. Renowned rap artist Jay-Z has described him as a "breath of fresh air" in modern hip-hop, which is very different from the lyric-centered hip-hop of the 90s with its general publicity and glamor.
