Born April 12, 1928, Berlin - German actor and writer.
At the age of 15, Kruger first appeared on the big screen, playing a small episode in the German film Young Eagles. Kruger's acting career was cut short in 1944 when Hardy was called to the front. In March 1945, Kruger was assigned to the 38th SS Grenadier Division "Nibelungen", in which he was captured by American soldiers.
After the end of the war, Kruger was often invited to play the roles of German soldiers, which was caused by the characteristic appearance of the actor (blonde hair, blue eyes).
In 1957, the actor made his debut in British cinema, in the film "The One Who Escaped", where Kruger played the famous fighter pilot Franz von Werru.
In 1966, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Heinrich Dorfmann in Flight of the Phoenix.
