Born June 12, 1965, Mona Veil, Sydney, New South Wales is an Australian actor, director, screenwriter and producer.

He made his first professional steps as an actor in Australian films in the late 1980s. He made his debut role in the drama series Home and Away in 1988. The first years of his acting career, Darcy-Smith honed his skills in the series, he could be seen in episodes of the multi-part films "Police Rescue Squad", "Blue Healers", "Water Rats", "Fallen Angels", "Call of the Assassin", "Wild side "," All Saints "and others.

In 1996, Kiran turned to directing and directed his first short film (co-directed by Nash Edgerton), the action movie Loaded, which he himself wrote and produced. In addition, he played the main role in the tape and invented the musical arrangement himself. Two years later, Kiran, in collaboration with Edgerton, completed work on his second film, created by him from his own script - the action movie "Bloodlock", in which he also played one of the roles. His films have won awards at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival Award for Best Film.

In 1999, Darcy-Smith first appeared on the screens in the full-length crime comedy Fingers Fanning directed by Gregor Jordan. After that, a year later, viewers were able to see another short film created by Kieran "The Island", which won the "Tropicana Award" in 2000.

Since the early 2000s, Kiran has continued to act, having performed more than twenty roles to this day. In 2001, he appeared in his co-star Nash Edgerton's short film Advertising, as well as several TV series, including McLeod's Daughters, Young Lions, Always Greener, Blue and White Collar and Silly, Silly man".

Darcy-Smith, in addition to acting, also taught at the Sydney School of Screen Arts and Television for Actors. After a while, he began acting in America. In 2005, Kieran played the role of Strode in Bruce Hunt's horror film The Cave. In 2007, the actor could be seen as Harry in the Australian TV series "Dangerous Games" and in one of the main roles in the drama "September" directed by Peter Casteires. A year later, Kieran again, collaborating with his friend Nash Edgerton, starred in his new crime drama "Square", and also played one of the main roles in Joel Edgerton's short crime film "The List" (2008).

In 2009, Kieran Darcy-Smith appeared in several films at once: David Michaud's crime thriller "By the Laws of the Wolf", in which he played the role of John Harrop, and the TV series "My Place" and "Special Rescue Department". A year later, Kiran starred in the horror film "High Seas: New Victims" by Andrew Trauki and was working on the creation of his new film - the detective drama "Say Nothing", which was released in screens in January 2012. He wrote the script in co-authorship with his wife Felicity Price, who, by the way, became the leading actress along with Joel Edgerton. The film was nominated for the 2012 Jury Prize for Best Dramatic Film.
