Scandal - japanese j-pop-rock group.
Four female high school students from Osaka, as passionate music lovers, decided to write and play their own songs, combining hobbies with regular school life. As time went on, they began to receive applications for concerts from various clubs in Kyoto and Osaka.
In August 2007, the group was offered the opportunity to take part in an event held at Shibuya Club Asia, one of the most respected clubs in Shibuya. At the same time, the music label Tower Records decided to collaborate with them and after a few months four schoolgirls began their real careers.
Their first single was released on March 3rd, 2008 and sold out all over Japan. was in high demand. In order not to create problems for fans, the album was released in the American and Japanese iTunes Music Store on April 8, 2008. The next two singles were released soon (in CD form).
In early September 2008, they began negotiations with the head of Sony Music Japan about a new contract, as Tower Records released a very small number of their discs, and they sold out very quickly.
