Born August 30, 1946, New York, USA - American actress.
Lipton began her career as a model at Ford Models. In 1964, her family moved to Los Angeles and she was signed to Universal Pictures .
Lipton is best known for starring in the Hipster Squad, which ran from 1968 to 1973. In 1971, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series - Drama for her performance on the series. She also achieved some success as a singer, releasing several singles that charted Billboard.
Lipton took a break from her career, not withdrawing from the second half of the seventies, until the early nineties. She returned to acting in 1990 with a co-starring role in Twin Peaks. After that she starred in the films Change of Personality, Twin Peaks: Fire Through and The Postman .
In 2004, Lipton was diagnosed with colon cancer. She underwent a year of treatment, as a result of which she overcame the disease.
In 2017, the third season of the television series "Twin Peaks" was released, in which Peggy Lipton again played the role of Norma Jennings.
