There is an older sister Monica and two younger ones - Julia and Leah. He knows Polish well, spent four months every year in Poland until the age of 16.
Attended Christian Brothers Academy at Lyncroft and Marlboro High School. While in high school, he was selected for the role of Max Nickerson on the television series "Guiding Light." Due to his tight acting schedule, he transferred to a new school - Lakewood Prep School in Howell. In 2000 he graduated from high school and entered Rutgers University, which he dropped out after a semester in order to pursue an acting career.
Since 2005 Paul changed his last name to Wesley.
Paul received a YoungStar Awards nomination for Best Young Actor / Performance in a Daytime TV Series in 2000 for his work on Guiding Light.
Paul played small roles in such TV series as: "Guiding Light", "Widower's Love", "Smallville", "Lonely Hearts", "8 Simple Rules for a Friend of My Teenage Daughter", "Law & Order. Special building "and others.
He is currently filming the role of Stefan Salvatore in the television series The Vampire Diaries, based on Lisa Jane Smith's The Vampire Diaries. He is the producer of the film Curfew (Now or Never, 2012), which was nominated for an Oscar (2013) for Best Fiction Short Film.
