McClurg's career has lasted since 1976 and as of 2012 she played and voiced 182 characters, wrote the script for 3 films and television series. Nominee for the DVD Exclusive Awards (2003) for Best Supporting Actress in a DVD Premiere for her role as Granny Framm in King of the Air: Thorns Back (2003).
