Born November 16, 1966, Bromma, Stockholm - Swedish film director, editor, screenwriter and music video director.
In 1983 he briefly played drums with the Swedish thrash / black metal band Bathory. Akerlund's first video was the video for the song "Bewitched" by the Swedish doom metal band Candlemass (1988), then for a while he worked with Swedish artists, the most famous of which is the group Roxette. At the moment, Ockerlund has not only worked with metal bands, but also videos shot for such mainstream pop artists as Madonna, Roxette and Christina Aguilera. Akerlund, together with another Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck, created Renck Akerlund Films, which produces video clips and commercials.
