Born November 30, 1969, Boston, Massachusetts, USA is an American playwright, screenwriter and songwriter.

His mother worked in a factory and his father worked in a fruit market in Chelsea. David attended Boston public schools until seventh grade, when he received a six-year scholarship to Milton Academy, a preparatory school in New England. It was there that he first became interested in writing theater plays. He continued to study at the Sarah Lawrence College Theater. Later he was accepted into the program of American playwrights Leela Acheson Wallace at the Juilliard School, where he wrote under the direction of playwrights Marsha Norman and Christopher Durang. The young playwright always thought that theater is a place where absurd things happen, which is why he tries to distance himself from reality in his works. He relies on characters who see the world differently than others.

Lindsay-Eber's first success was Fadi Mears, which was staged at the National Conference of Playwrights at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center under production designer Lloyd Richards and eventually premiered at the Manhattan Theater Club.

His 2006 play Rabbit Hole, starring Cynthia Nixon, Tyne Daly and John Slattery in New York, won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for a dramatic work for the theater. She was subsequently nominated for a Tony Award in the Best Play category and several others, while Cynthia Nixon won the Best Actress category.

In 2005 he first tried himself as a screenwriter in the cartoon "Robots". And in 2008 he wrote the script for the film "Ink Heart" based on the book of the same name by Cornelia Funke.

Lindsay-Eber's Projects is also the script for the musical High Fidelity, as well as the script and lyrics for the musical Shrek the Musical, based on the book Shrek!
