A talented British theater and film actor, producer and director Laurence Olivier is from Dorking, Surrey (UK). Here he began his life in 1907 on May 22. Lawrence's father was a priest and raised his son in the spirit of religion, but it was he who, appreciating the boy's ability to art, advised him to become an artist. Olivier received his acting education at the School of Diction and Dramatic Arts, after graduating from which he became an actor of the Birmingham Theater Company.
