Born June 14, 1978 in Lemont, Illinois is an American screenwriter.
The girl went to a Catholic school and then graduated from the University of Iowa with a diploma in media. After working as a DJ, secretary and editor, Brooke started making a web blog on behalf of a fictional secretary living in Belarus. After a while, out of curiosity, she tried herself as a stripper. Cody performed in strip and peep clubs for almost a year and at the same time described her experience in a blog that became very popular. At 24, she published a memoir about striptease work.
She then wrote the screenplay for Juno, a touching story about an unplanned teenage pregnancy. Diablo Cody received an Oscar for her script. She also wrote the thriller "Jennifer's Body" and became the author of the popular tragicomic series "The United States of Tara".
