American actress, screenwriter and director, dancer and choreographer.

She made her film debut as an actress in the early 1980s, playing one of the small roles in the drama series Safe Harbor. In 1984, she played the role of Karen in the television film Summer, directed by Allan Arkush, and one of the roles in Paul Justman's comedy film Gimme an F. After that, there was a series of films where Holmes played dancers: in the television film "Totally Minnie" directed by Scott Garen (1988), in the musical drama "In the Crowd" by Mark Rosenthal (1988) and in the horror film by Kenny Ortega "Hocus Pocus" (1993 ).

After practicing acting, Peggy turned to directing and screenwriting. Debut as a screenwriter in 2004, Holmes created several parts ("Belles on ice") for the animated computer film "Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas" ("Mickey: Again at Christmas") at Disney Toon Studios.

Peggy's first directorial work was released in 2008. Her cartoon The Little Mermaid: The Beginning of Ariel's Story was written by Robert Rees and Evan Spiliotopoulos. In 2012, together with Robert Gunnaway, Holmes created the cartoon "Fairies: The Secret of the Winter Forest", in which she also acted as one of the screenwriters. And two years later in February on the screens of cinemas one could see a new adventure cartoon from Peggy Holmes - "Fairies: The Mystery of the Pirate Island", which was filmed based on her story. Peggy was inspired by J.M.Barry's Peter Pan book, which Walt Disney created his iconic cartoon over 50 years ago. The entire film crew approached the creation of the animated film very seriously, to the point that the artists delved into the theory of shipbuilding to create the most realistic ship on the screen.
