Born August 15, 1951, USA - American screenwriter and producer.
Biederman grew up in Florida, and when she was sixteen, she attended The Stockbridge School, in Berkshire Hills, Massachusetts, where she was very interested in art. Biederman and her sister spent most of their youth in the company of writers, artists and musicians, when they lived in the famous Chelsea Hotel in New York, where "Leonard Cohen was the boy next door," and her mother's Miami home was a kind of home on halfway up for recently released civil rights activists. Poet Allen Ginsberg was a close family friend. Her sister was a close companion of the San Francisco-based Jefferson Airplane in the late 1960s.
Anne Biderman is the creator and executive producer of the critically successful NBC / TNT series Southland, and she won an Emmy Award for Best Screenplay in a Drama Series for an episode of NYPD.
