Born November 30, 1952, Chicago, Illinois - American singer and actor. Father Lester Patinkin worked in a metalwork factory, mother hosted culinary programs on television. Patinkin gained fame on Broadway, where he still works. In 1980 he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Che in Evita. He was also nominated for this award in 1984 and 2000. In cinema, Patinkin is best known for his role in the film Ragtime by Milos Forman. She was followed by the role of Julius Rosenberg, who was executed with his wife in 1953 for passing on the secrets of the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union, in the film "Daniel" directed by Sidney Lumet. Mandy Patinkin then landed the lead role in Barbra Streisand's debut film Yentl .
Since 2011, he has been playing one of the key roles in the Showtime television series Rodina, embodying the image of the authoritative CIA officer Soul Berenson.
