Born April 17, 1964, Los Angeles, California is an American actress and producer.

She graduated from Cerritos High School and California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Rochon made her film debut in 1984 and over the next few years she appeared in famous television series like The Cosby Show, 227 and The Prince of Beverly Hills. Her first major role was in the 1986 film The Fox Trap, after which she took on smaller roles in the comedies Harlem Nights and Boomerang opposite Eddie Murphy. In 1995, she appeared regularly in the first season of The WB sitcom The Wayans Brothers.

In 1995, Rochon co-starred with Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett and Loretta Devine in the highly successful film adaptation of Terry Macmillan's novel Waiting to Breathe Out. The role earned her nominations for an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough of the Year and an NAACP Image Award. Later, People magazine included her in their list of "Fifty most beautiful people in the world." Over the next few years, Rochon had roles in The Camera (1996), Criminal Liaisons (1997), The Blaster (1998), The Big Deal (1998), Why Do Fools Fall in Love (1998) and Every Sunday "(1999). In 2001, she returned to television with a role in the Lifetime series The Women's Brigade. Rochon left the show after one season and appeared sporadically on screen in subsequent years with roles in independent films.
